I think for me, solitary means being alone and feeling a sense of calmness in your heart. It doesn’t have to be sadness or feeling of isolation. This is exactly what I’ve felt when I saw my godson watching television on his own. He’s so calm and quiet, I bet something that’s rare in my bestfriend’s household.
What does solitary means to you?
It’s lovely, it’s innocent, it’s real. I like it.
It’s a good representation of how in this age of digitization, we never quite feel alone.
I couldn’t agree with you more 🙂 Thank you for stopping by!
Anytime. 🙂
I think we lose that ability we had as children to enjoy moments of solitude. We become to busy trying to get the next great thing done, or at least making it look like we can keep up with the rest of the world.
I agree. I become too busy with work too and trying to get the next great thing done. But once in awhile, I try to just relax, do nothing and enjoy the moment of being alone (usually on weekends 😀 )
Ironic how even in this child’s moment of solitude, there is someone there on the screen. I appreciate what you are doing here. Keep it up.
Thank you. I really appreciate your comment. He was watching something from the CBeebies. 🙂
Solitary means being alone to enjoy and create and just be – no worries about anyone else’s schedule or needs. Solitude is heavenly.
I completely agree. I see it as my ‘me’ time. 🙂 Thanks for your comment.
Have a great week!
Sarah 🙂
Sweet photo! I also like his little tuff of hair, tied up. Cute! I remember enjoying moments of solitude as a kid. It was a pleasure to walk in the woods. In my head, going over chapters from RL Stein to Madeleine L’Engle. I also wondered if I would run into something magical, behind a tree.
Thank you for your comment! It made me smile. 🙂 He had a long hair in this photo. I feel the same way, walking in the beach and just listening to the waves. Such a calming experience!
Thanks again. 🙂 Hope you visit often.
Have a nice week.
Sarah
Solitary invokes a calm and peach within me too.
