Travel | Series #4: Norway 2012 – The Vigeland Park (World’s Largest Sculpture Park)

The Vigeland Park is the world’s largest sculpture park made by Gustav Vigeland located in Oslo, Norway. This remarkable park consisted of more than 200 sculptures in bronze, granite and wrought iron. It was completed between 1939 and 1949.

Here’s a video to give you a glimpse of the Vigeland Park and Museum

The Vigeland Park is my favourite tourist spot in Oslo. I found the sculptures quite captivating and thought-provoking. Such a massive, unique park full of history! Scupltures aside, the park itself shared an abundant rows of nicely-cut trees and colourful array of flowers. Indeed, it was a refreshing sight! I imagined how the summer would be like there, lying on the immaculate green grass, reading a book and maybe gulping down a nice cold drink! Hmmm.

Anyhow, back to reality! Here are some photos I took from our trip. You can click to enlarge photos individually. What’s your favourite sculpture?

Enjoy!
